Service Engineer - Preventive Maintenance Lead

The Job

A Service Engineer, Preventive Maintenance Lead on the Mountain team, contributes to the success of Hartwig by providing a superior customer experience through the promotion and performance of preventive maintenance on machine tools as well as the personal growth and development of assigned Service Engineers. This full-time position is based in the Denver office.

Main responsibilities of this position include:

• Leads development of assigned Service Engineer's technical skills for optimum customer experience and efficiency
• Creates and executes Ignition Plans and annual Roadmaps for department team members, collaborating with them to develop target goals
• Conducts preventive maintenance on CNC machines as assigned using PM checklists
• Coordinates schedule with customers
• Consults with other team members, internal departments and/or external vendors to resolve issues related to preventive maintenance
• Accurately documents and reports required information for work records and reports
• Achieves goals and metrics, including PM market share and billable hour target
• Increases field sales by promoting the Preventive Maintenance programs or other opportunities
• Keeps up-to-date, accurate FieldPoint records and lists all parts used on each case and updates customer information including machine information, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and contacts
• Performs and maintains accurate service vehicle inventory counts for MSP group
• Improves product knowledge by attending vendor training on new products
• Shares knowledge by hosting training sessions or presenting to team
• Submits time sheets and expense reports in a timely manner
• Travels to customer sites on a regular basis with occasional overnight travel required
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:

• Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC machines
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction
• Excellent attention to detail and follow through
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Professionalism and ability to build long-term relationships with team members, customers and suppliers
• Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning and organization skills
• Ability to use PC and job-related software
• Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure continued fleet vehicle insurability.
