Sales Manager

The Job

A Sales Manager contributes to the success of Hartwig by managing the daily operation of selected CNC Machine Sales Engineers in achieving company objectives including bookings forecast, market share and opportunity generation. Main responsibilities of this full-time position based in the Tulsa, OK area include:

  • Training and managing the progress and development of selected sales engineers including, ride alongs, territory management, call planning, etc.
  • Assisting with team growth and development functions which include coaching, mentoring, training, performance reviews, and help in the development of goals and objectives
  • Working with selected Sales Engineers on a monthly basis to analyze USMTO, UCC and other territory data
  • Working with appropriate team members to schedule time and utilize resources to capture business as needed
  • Obtaining personal growth which includes training, classes, reading and being current with industry best practices
  • Travel within assigned region requiredIndividuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualificationsThe Skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the manufacturing sector (Machine Tool/industry related preferred).
  • Must have a strong mechanical/technical aptitude.
  • Must have strong negotiation and persuasion skills and demonstrated problem solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building.
  • Experience in project management and time management.
  • Experience and application of basic computer skills including sales software such as CRM, Word and Excel.
  • Must have strong initiative, team work, competitive nature and strong goal orientation.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
