The Job

The Lead role is ideal for a motivated person looking to make an impact as an individual while also leading a growing team. This role is designed as a Player/Coach position that will manage a team as Sales Development Representatives are added. This position's location will be determined during the recruitment process.
What you will do:
- The Sales Development Representative is the link between the outside CNC machine tool and Additive sales engineers and the prospect. The Sales Development Representative Lead will be responsible for developing and generating a quality sales pipeline for the outside sales team as well as mentoring and coaching a team of Sales Development Representatives
- Lead on process of researching and pre-qualifying potential new prospects
- Follow up on Warm Leads generated by CNC machine tool and additive sales engineers and the marketing team while ensuring Sales Development Representatives are doing the same
- Lead on identifying key decision makers and updating database list of contacts on a consistent basis
- Coach Sales Development Representatives on basics of cold-calling and emailing on the approaches to quickly and confidently establishing rapport
- Coach Sales Development Representatives on fundamentals of listening and uncovering potential opportunities for Hartwig to provide value to prospects
- Set-up bi-weekly trainings for the team
- Assist and oversee open house and sales blitz activity to drive attendance through targeted sales development activity
- Lead the team in providing accurate quotes to prospects and follow up on requests
- Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics-KPI's) on established timeline to get results
- Track Sales Development Representatives progress towards meeting KPIs and determine bonus attainment.
- Ensure management and maintenance of accurate prospect and customer account activity and information in CRM
- Work collaboratively with sales engineers and marketing team and all internal operations to support sales funnel to the sales team goals
- Communicate regularly with Marketing Manager for understanding of current initiatives and trends
What you will bring
- BS/BA College Degree preferred
- 5+ years leadership experience
- 2+ years leading in an outbound call environment preferred
- 2+ years in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment highly preferred
- Highly developed drive to achieve and exceed personal and company goals
