Sales Development Representative / Inside Sales

Hartwig Inc. is seeking an ambitious, conscientious, and energetic individual to join in on growing our Inside Sales department as an Additive Manufacturing Sales Development Representative. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the team to provide the best industrial manufacturing solutions and support in the machine tool industry.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has at least 2 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment and has an interest in sales.

This full-time, 100% onsite position is based in Texas. The ideal candidate will live in the Dallas/Irving Texas area.

Main Responsibilities:

This individual will contribute to the success of Hartwig by establishing and building relationships with leaders in the manufacturing industry by handling the following:

  • Research and pre-qualify prospective clients using web/social media, internal databases, and external tools
  • Conduct phone calls and emails to follow up on incoming leads while using a targeted approach to uncover and qualify new opportunities for additive manufacturing products. Provide ongoing lead development and nurturing strategies for prospects that are not currently ready to purchase
  • Take a "solution-selling" approach to active opportunities ensuring that the additive products are properly aligned to customer/prospect needs to make their lines of production more efficient
  • Identify key decision makers and update the list of contacts on a consistent basis in CRM
  • Maintain accurate account activity, new opportunity information, and detailed notes in CRM
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Engineers in the field, Marketing Team, and all internal operations to achieve potential sales goals
  • Embrace the fundamentals of listening and uncovering potential opportunities for Hartwig to provide value to prospects
  • Assist with open house and sales blitz activities and drive attendance through targeted campaigns
  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (critical metrics-KPI's) on established timelines to get results
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with the Marketing Manager for an understanding of current initiatives and trends

Requirements:

  • BS/BA College Degree required
  • 2+ years in an outbound call environment preferred
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment highly preferred
  • Highly developed drive to achieve and exceed personal and company goals
  • Passion for personal and professional growth; accepting mentoring and other opportunities to develop
  • Must have self-discipline, organization, and diligent time management
  • Resilience and ability to build upon experience
  • Astute listening and verbal skills; must have an engaging phone presence
