We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to be responsible for the overall management of the Service function for this region. The Service Manager is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Service Department and assists the region in achieving its goals of customer satisfaction, safety, profitability, and growth.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARTWIG SERVICE MANAGER:

  • Model the Hartwig company values creating a "Best in Class" service attitude committed to building long term relationships with customers.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing and training service team.
  • Coach, mentor, and communicate job expectations to service team.
  • Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems and respond promptly to resolve issues timely and efficiently.
  • Review and process work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Encourage communications throughout the team by facilitating/participating in meetings and soliciting feedback from team members.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage service team's time and assign work to skill level.
  • Coordinate equipment installation plan to ensure timely installations at customer sites.
  • Utilize reports and tools to make good business decisions and drive action.
  • Monitor results of delegated assignments, budget review, financial goals and makes suggestions as appropriate.
  • Ensure that the team has the proper supplies and tools to be efficient and effective.
  • Manage service fleet and inventory.
  • Manage manufacture design loss requests and cases.
  • Recommend process, operational efficiency and policy improvements
  • Support a safe work environment and ensure policies and regulations are followed by team.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook.
  • Review and approve service cases, service timesheets, installation reports and expense reports.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned in a professional and efficient manner.

TO JOIN THE HARTWIG TEAM, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical or electrical work experience in troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC Machine Tool Products
  • Minimum of 2 years related management experience
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Drive to gain followership by supporting and teaching the Hartwig company values
  • Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning and organization skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
