Hartwig currently has a full-time opportunity available for a CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer supporting our MIDWEST territory based out of Wichita, Kansas. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARTWIG APPLICATION ENGINEER:

• Evaluates manufacturing processes and recommends industry-leading solutions.
• Develops and tests alternative processing methods.
• Performs time studies for process improvement recommendations.
• Provides technical support for customers including programming and machine set-up.
• Oversees machine installations.
• Conducts research and assists with presenting proposals to customers.
• Performs on-site customer programming and machine operation training to customers.
• Sets up, programs, and demonstrates machine tools for customers.

TO JOIN THE HARTWIG TEAM, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two year degree in Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Previous work history including; machining process development, project management, and/or CNC programming.
• Okuma machine programming experience is preferred.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options, and functions.
• Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and background.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales to provide customer solutions.
• Capable of building lasting and trusting relationships with customers.
• Valid driver's license in state of primary residence required.
