Hartwig currently has a full time opportunity available for a full time Application Engineering Manager available in our Mountain territory. We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to be responsible for the overall management of the Application Engineering function for this region.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARTWIG APPLICATION ENGINEERING MANAGER:

• Be an inspiring leader to a team of Application Engineers striving to offer game changing engineering to our customers.
• Be the technical knowledge expert and resource supporting the sales engineering team.
• Promote application engineering capabilities to internal and external customers.
• Coordinate customer and team training events.
• Track and monitor time studies.
• Manage the interoffice billing for application engineering hours.
• Stay current on latest technology and industry trends and identify and attend training.
• Train application engineers on equipment, controls, software, order and quote review
• Perform other duties as assigned.

To join the Hartwig team, the ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience to include machining process development, project management, exposure to technical sales, CNC programming skills
• Okuma machine programming experience preferred
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options and functions
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• Have a strong mechanical/technical aptitude and background
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office software, CAD/CAM software
• Deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be comfortable with traveling within the territory
